Dr. Schotzko says:
The spine and nervous system are two of the most important things in allowing your body to function properly and be healthy. Unfortunately, those are also the two most overlooked when determining how healthy a person is. Your spine has 2 roles, first, it holds you up against gravity and second, it houses and protects your brain stem and spinal cord. That spinal cord is responsible for the transmissions of messages from your brain to your body telling everything how to work properly. When the spine is healthy, it accomplishes both of those But when it becomes misaligned, instead of protecting your central nervous system, it damages it and will lower your ability to function as optimally as possible. The spine begins to interfere with the messages and all sorts of health concerns can arise depending on where the interference is. That's why regular check ups at the chiropractor are vital to ensure as optimal posture and health as possible.
